With your membership you gain entry into a dynamic creative community and access to organic and organized networking and learning opportunities. CHECK OUT STUDIO SPACES AND PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT 

At Vidwest Studios, you can think of our studio spaces and production equipment as the tangible resources available for "checkout." Similar to borrowing a book from a library, you can borrow high-quality cameras, microphones, lights, computers, and more. You can use them in-house or off-site. Whether you're shooting a film, recording a podcast, or doing a studio photo shoot, our extensive inventory of professional production equipment is at your disposal. Vidwest Studios enables you to access these resources without the financial burden of ownership, just like borrowing a book for a limited time.

Our memberships allow individuals, organizations, students, veterans, seniors, nonprofits, and businesses to become an integral part of our community and gain access to a wealth of resources and opportunities. Our membership model is designed to be inclusive, providing opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels to explore their creative potential. Vidwest is made up of novice and professional filmmakers, podcasters, photographers, entrepreneurs, content creators, musicians, and nonprofit organizations in Columbia and mid-Missouri.

HOW DOES THIS LOOK IN PRACTICE?

First, you pay a single annual membership online with just a few clicks, and you’re officially part of the Vidwest community. Then you head over to our user-friendly online reservation system where you can explore our extensive library of equipment, studio spaces, and training options.

When you find what you need, simply book it through the reservation system. Next, you’ll head to the studio and pick up your reserved items and do your creative thing. Once your reservation window is over, simply return the equipment to Vidwest. We've made the process as simple and hassle-free as possible so you can focus on your creative work.

By keeping our membership fees affordable, we remove financial barriers and make media resources and tools accessible to individuals from all walks of life.
